Direct Airport Rides | Customer Service Terms

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our services. By booking with Direct Airport Rides, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Service Bookings

All times quoted at booking are approximate. Delays may occur due to traffic, weather, road closures, or unforeseen events. We are not liable for missed connections or losses due to delays outside our control.

2. Fare Information

We operate on a fixed fare system, confirmed at booking. Fares are calculated based on:

  • Distance
  • Vehicle type
  • Route
  • Customer requirements

If you request an alternative route or additional via points, this may change the fare.

2.1 Adverse Travel Conditions

If your journey is affected by road closures, severe weather, or major incidents, your fare may be adjusted. We will inform you where possible.

2.2 Seasonal & Holiday Surcharges

  • Christmas Eve (6 PM) to Christmas Day (11:59PM) – Double fare
  • Boxing Day – 1.5x fare
  • New Year's Eve & New Year's Day – 1.5x fare

These reflect increased demand and limited availability.

2.3 Additional Charges

  • Large luggage or excess bags
  • Multi-seater or executive vehicle requests
  • Additional Stops

3. Airport Transfers

  • Includes up to 45 minutes waiting from the time of flight landing.
  • Further waiting time charged at £30/hour (or part) plus parking.
  • One pickup and one drop-off only; extra stops charged by distance and payable to driver.
  • No liability accepted for damaged or lost items.
  • Hazardous goods (flammable, explosive, etc.) are strictly prohibited.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full to the driver (cash or card) or to our office.
  • Outside Reigate & Banstead: Full pre-payment required.
  • No-show at pickup: Waiting/parking charges apply.
  • All payments go to self-employed drivers. VAT not applicable.

5. Cancellations

  • Local area bookings: Cancel at least 30 minutes before pickup.
  • Airport/long-distance bookings: Cancel at least 3 hours in advance.

5.1 Refunds

Full refund applies for cancellations made within the timeframe. Late cancellations are non-refundable unless reviewed and approved by management.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Inform us if travelling with pets (assistance dogs allowed but must be notified).
  • No smoking or alcohol in vehicles.
  • Drivers may refuse intoxicated or disruptive passengers.
  • £100 cleaning charge for soiling/vomit.
  • We are not liable for lost items left in the vehicle (items handed to authorities as per licensing rules).
